Privacy policy

Sitara is owned and operated by CodeCraze, a registered company ("we", "us"). Sitara is available worldwide and is designed for Muslim women aged 18 and over. The app is intended for adults only, and we do not market it to anyone under 18. This policy explains how the Sitara app handles your information, in plain language. A separate section below covers this website.

What the app collects

Account information

Your name, email address and the data needed to sign you in.

Records you choose to add

• Period dates and cycle preferences
• Health check-ins, such as mood, energy, pain and flow
• Goals and progress
• Fasting records
• Religious preferences you set

These records are optional. You decide what to enter.

How we use it

• To create and secure your account and sign you in
• To save your records and show them back to you, including estimated cycle dates and progress summaries
• To send reminders, if you turn them on
• To let you export your records or delete your account
• To answer your support requests

Service providers

Sitara uses Supabase to provide sign-in and cloud database storage for your account and records.

On your device and permissions

• The app keeps a sign-in session on your device so you stay signed in.
• Reminders use optional local notifications. You can allow or turn them off in your device settings.

Security

Access to your account requires sign-in, and we take reasonable steps to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so please keep your device and sign-in details safe.

Exporting and sharing

You can export your records from the app. Once you export or share a file, we can't recall it from the people or places you sent it to.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your account and records while your account is open. You can delete your account and records at any time — see Delete your account for the steps. We complete deletion requests within 30 days. Copies held in our routine backups are overwritten within a further 90 days, so a small amount of your data may still exist in those backup copies until then. If you write to us for support, we keep those messages only as long as needed to handle your request.

Age

Sitara is for adults aged 18 and over. If we learn that someone under 18 has an account, we delete it and the records attached to it.

Your choices and rights

You can view, export and delete your records in the app. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights. To make a request, contact support@codecraze.co.

This website

This website is separate from the app. It has no sign-in, forms, analytics or advertising trackers, and it doesn't collect health information. Like most websites, our hosting provider may process standard technical data, such as IP addresses, to deliver pages.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we'll post the new version on this page.
